DESCRIPTION

Guided visit trough the historical Center of Mariana: first village, first municipal chamber and first capital of Minas Gerais. The ´Brazilian Rome´ reveals beyond its buildings, palaces and museums the consolidation of a social and political organization established during the Brazilian Golden Era . The urban planning of the town contrasts with the curving surroundings from Minas. On the way we will visit the Goldmine at Mina de Passagem as well, the world’s largest goldmine open for public. On a trolley you pass 315m to a depth of 120m, were you can appreciate the underground lake.
